Here is the recipe of great indian traditional sweet,Ras malai.This recipe is very easy to make and popular in Indian kitchens.
Rasmalai
Ingredients
Paneer(cottage cheese)-300g White sugar-350 Water-2.25L Semolina.2 tsp Rose water.2 tsp Ground cardamon.¼ tsp Whipped double cream.300m Pistachios finely chopped-25g
Method:
Mix the sugar and water and bring to the boil stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile mix the semolina with the paneer and roll into balls (12 or 14)
Cooking-
Add the balls to the syrup and simmer for and hour. Leave to cool and then chill over night.
Add 1 tsp of the rose water to the rasmalai. Mix the remaining rose water and the cardamon into the cream.
Serve each ball with a dollop of cream and a few crushed pistachios sprinkled on top.
