Easy Mixed fruit kheer Recipe

Ingredients for Mixed fruit kheer
  •  Chikoos 3
  • Plums 3
  • Pear 1
  • Peaches 2
  • Pistachios 7-8
  • Butter 2 tbsps
  • Sugar 4 tbsps
  • Cooked rice 1 ¼ cups
  • Milk 5 cups
  • Cornstarch 1 tbsp
  • Rose syrup 3 tbsps

Method to prepare Mixed fruit kheer
Wash chikoos, plums pear and peaches. Peel, deseed and chop them into half inch sized pieces. Chop pistachios and keep aside for garnish.
Heat butter in a pan and saute fruits for two to three minutes.
Add one tablespoon of sugar and cook till sugar melts.
Transfer into a serving dish and spread evenly.
Add rice to the same pan and saute. Add more butter if you so wish.
Add milk and cook for then to fifteen minutes or till rice is absolutely soft.
Dissolve cornstarch in a little water or milk and add to rice mixture and continue to cook.
Add remaining sugar and cook till it dissolves, stirring continuously so it does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Add rose syrup and stir.
Pour over sauteed fruits. Sprinkle with pistachios and hot or cold.
