Easy Matar ki kheer Recipe

Ingredients for Matar ki kheer
  • Green peas (shelled) 1 cup
  • Raisins 20-25
  • Pistachios 20-25
  • Ghee ½ cup
  • Milk 6 ½ cups
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Green cardamom powder 1 tsp

Method to prepare Matar ki kheer
Wash and boil green peas for five minutes. Refresh in cold water and grind to a fine paste.
Wash raisins and pat them dry. Thinly slice pistachios.
Heat ghee in a thick-bottomed pan, add green peas paste and cook for a few minutes, stirring continuously. Keep aside.
Boil milk in a pan and add to cooked green peas paste. Bring it to a boil. Cook on low heat for fifteen to twenty minutes or till the milk is reduced to half.
Add sugar, green cardamom powder, raisins and sliced pistachios. Cook for about eight to ten minutes on low heat, stirring continuously. Remove form heat and allow it to cool. Chill in refrigerator. Serve cold.
