Obesity
Obesity is is an abnormal increase in the proportion of fat cells. Obesity may be accompanied by other signs of poor health and is a risk factor for type 2 diabetes.
. It is the generalized accumulation of excess fat in your body. The carbohydrates and protein stores in the body are limited. Increased fat intake, on the other hand, doesn't stimulate fat oxidation; thus, long standing positive fat balance results in Obesity. Obesity strains the cardiovascular system and increases the risk of diabetes, hypertension, and elevated lipid levels.
BMI - Body Mass Index
Body mass index, or BMI is the measurement of choice for many physicians and researchers studying obesity. BMI uses a mathematical formula that takes into account both a person's height and weight. BMI equals a person's weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. (Or, weight in pounds divided by height in inches squared, and multiplied by 704.5).
Obisity is the state of being over a normal weight. A person has traditionally been considered to be obese if they are more than 20 % over their ideal weight. That ideal weight must take into account the person’s height, age, sex, and build.
It is a condition where there is excessive body weight due to an abnormal accumulation of adipose tissue or fat.
Obisity is defined as a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or more, obesity is associated with markedly increased health risks.
