Easy Coconut Black Walnut Cake Recipe

Ingredients for Coconut Black Walnut Cake

2 cups of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1 cup cooking oil
1 cup buttermilk
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup of chopped black walnuts
3 cups of flour
1 cup of flaked coconut
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoons of coconut extract
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

Coconut Syrup
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon of coconut extract


Method to prepare Coconut Black Walnut Cake

Combine the sugar, oil and eggs and beat well. Combine the dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture alternately with the buttermilk. Stir in the nuts and the coconut extract. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 5 minutes in a greased and floured tube pan. Pour hot coconut syrup over hot cake.

Coconut Syrup
Mix together and boil for 5 minutes
