Easy Onion Sticks Recipe

Ingredients for Onion Sticks

 1 1 ½-OUNCE ENVELOPE DRY ONION SOUP MIX

¼ POUND (½ CUP) MARGARINE, SOFTENED

16 SLICES SANDWICH BREAD


Method to prepare Onion Sticks
  1. Preheat oven to 375o F.

  2. Combine soup mix with margarine. Mix with fork.

  3. Spread mixture on bread, using about 1 ½ teaspoons per slice.

  4. Cut each slice into 6 sticks. Place in single layer on large baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until brown and crisp.


Hints: Fresh bread is easier to spread and slice if partially frozen. Leftover sticks may be stored in tightly closed container.
