Cut paneer into thick slices. Remove stems and break red chillies into two. Peel, wash and chop ginger. Grind together red chillies, ginger, peppercorns, cloves and cinnamon powder to a fine paste. Add salt and lemon juice and mix well. Coat paneer with the above paste and keep aside to marinate. To make pesto sauce, wash and drain basil leaves and fresh parsley. Peel and wash garlic. Peel pinenuts. Blend these adding salt and olive oil to make a smooth sauce. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep-fry paneer pieces till lightly browned on both sides. Serve hot with pesto sauce. |
