For: 18 scones Serving Size: 1 Scone
2 Cups sifted flour 1 Tablespoon baking powder 1 Teaspoon salt 2 Tablespoons sugar 3 Tablespoons margarine ½ Cup skim milk 1 Egg, slightly beaten

| Method to prepare Scones |
Preheat oven to 450o F. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Cut in margarine. Stir in milk and egg. Turn dough onto lightly floured board. Roll or pat dough ½ inch thick. Cut into 2-inch rounds. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until brown. Serve hot. |
